Team Kinder would like to say a very big Thank You to Ivy Muse for their kind and generous donation of three air plants, six indoor plants and six plant pots to help us achieve our goal of transforming our Indoor Learning Space into a peaceful, green, nature inspired environment, which provides children with calm spaces to spark wonder, awe and foster respect for nature.

Second Hand Book & Uniform Sale

The Parents & Friends Association (PFA) will be running a second hand text book & uniform sale on Tuesday, December 4 in the Cafe. 

Doors will open at 8am.  This is a cash only sale, and is run as a service by the PFA to the school community.  We do not charge a fee for this service, but if you would like to donate to the administration costs toward this (& other events) there will be a donation jar at the payment table.

If you would like to be involved the sale - on either Monday afternoon in setting up or Tuesday morning in the sale itself - please let Amanda Wight know via pfa@bhcs.vic.edu.au or via the PFA Facebook page, search @BHCSPFA and request to be added to the group. 

To sell any uniform items you must:

• Ensure the item is laundered
• Attach an envelope (with a safety pin) to each item with your name, phone number and sale price written on the front
• Print and complete the attached Second Hand Uniform Sale Form

To sell any textbooks you must:

• Put a sticky-note on the inside cover of the book with your name, sell price and telephone number
• Print and complete the attached Second Hand Book Sale Form

Please refer to the booklist information previously sent home.  Please ensure you only bring books which can be used next year.  Textbooks not on the booklists cannot be sold at the PFA sale.

Please drop off items for sale between 8.15am-9am or 3pm-3.15pm on Monday, December 3.  Please ensure you bring them inside the Restaurant and hand them to a member of the PFA where they will check it off.

Second-hand Textbook and Uniform Trading - Sustainable School Shop

End of year is fast arriving and it’s time to look for second-hand textbooks and uniforms. Second-hand textbooks and uniforms in relation to the college are traded via the Sustainable School Shop website: www.sustainableschoolshop.com.au

This service provides access to second-hand textbooks, uniforms, calculators, musical equipment, etc all year

For the best results:

• Register on the Sustainable School Shop website
• List your secondhand uniform items for sale
• List wanted ads for those items you are looking to buy
• The college’s book & uniform lists are loaded into the system to make listing ads easy
• The system matches the ads of buyers with sellers and notifies the buyer via email
• Buyers contact sellers and arrange where and when to trade.
• The school is not involved in the transaction
• Parents are well supported via Sustainable School Shop’s telephone (0438 743 444) and email help lines
• The system is simple and easy to use - If you don’t have a computer, internet access or an email address, please call the Sustainable School Shop for assistance

If you have books, uniforms, calculators etc you no longer need and are in good condition or better, then list them for sale on the website as this will help another family that is looking to buy.
