Big Group Hug's PJ, Jocks and Socks campaign

Our Lady Help of Christians will be participating in Big Group Hug’s annual PJ, Jocks and Socks campaign  for the month of March! We’re calling upon our incredible community (you) to help us to do our bit towards ensuring that no child goes without essential items such as underwear and socks. Every child deserves to feel warm and comfortable. In every clothing pack Big Group Hug sends out, they include new PJs, Jocks & Socks (and singlets), thereby giving children who are already doing it tough, some dignity and love. If you'd like to donate, you can drop off items to the OLHC office between 9am and 3pm during the month of March.

Lucky dips

Anamika in Year 1/2CH has put together a lucky dip to raise money for Caritas Project Compassion. She has many surprises for a $1.00 dip.  Anamika will be running this event for the next week on the junior playground.

Zooper Dooper Fridays during Lent

The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, which also marks the beginning of the annual Caritas Australia Project Compassion Appeal. Donations to Project Compassion allow Caritas Australia, the Catholic Agency for International Aid and Development, to work with local communities around the world to end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity (our Shrove Tuesday pancake money is donated to Caritas every year).

Our Social Justice leaders will be selling Zooper Doopers each Friday in Lent to raise monery for Caritas.  They will be walking around to each classroom offering them for $1 each.  If your Child is not able to eat Zooper Doopers (and you have not been contacted by Liz this week in regards to allergies) please contact the office Friday morning.  We like to be inclusive and give everyone the opportunity to participate.  You also do not have to participate if you prefer your child not to have one.
