Dear St Francis Xavier Families,
It has been great to see many of you attending the various functions and activities that have been organised this term. In addition to major events like the Family Picnic we are so happy to see those of you who are able to come along to mass, morning prayer, Prep Afternoon Tea, etc. After several years of restrictions we are delighted to open the school up to our parents and carers once again.
The Year 3/4 classes will be attending the 9:15am parish mass on Thursday 30th March and Year 5 and 6 students on Tuesday, 4th April. All families are welcome to come along and participate.
Thank you for your donations towards Project Compassion during Lent. The children are so proud to bring in their coins to contribute to helping communities in other countries. We have posters in the classrooms indicating how the money gets used in various areas and the Preps were thrilled to tell me they have more than enough money for four chickens already!
Miss Sue, one of our talented Learning Support Officers made bracelets to sell with all proceeds going to Project Compassion. We had a bit of fun advertising the bracelets for the children, with several of the staff getting involved!
Warmest wishes and God's blessings,
Marion O'Brien
