Good food and a city experience

Year 12 Food Technology

Thanks to Mr Colussi for inviting me to his Year 12 Food Technology class recently, where I was able to sample and view the Year 12 students' creations.

In their current unit of work, students have investigated the food manufacturing industry and have looked at a range of different products. Some of the food items students prepared from scratch included sour dough, kimchi, yoghurt and a variety of jams.

Congratulations to the class and Mr Colussi for doing a great job. The dishes were absolutely delicious.

Below is Jack Dempsey with his pork, mango chutney with mash and Angelina Karac with her strawberry jam-drop biscuits.

Year 12 Geography excursion - Sydney Harbour

On Thursday the 17 March 2023, Mr Collins spent a beautiful sunny day in the city. He took his year 12 Geography class to visit Sydney Harbour. The students undertook a field study in the Rocks to develop their understanding of tourism as a global economic activity. They also visited the Sydney Harbour YHA as a case study of an enterprise in the tourism industry. All students were on their best behaviour and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
