Basketball Clinics

As we know, our school community contains a wide range of students, parents and carers with some pretty amazing experiences, skills and talents - none more so than Abby Bishop, parent of Zala in 3/4J.
Abby is a professional basketball player who has represented Australia at the Olympics (winning bronze at the 2012 London games) and played in professional leagues including the WNBA. She currently plays for the Southside Flyers in the WNBL and has also been a SKiPPS parent since 2021.
Despite currently playing in the WNBL finals series, over the next couple of weeks Abby will be coming into school to run some basketball clinics with the Year 3/4 classes.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for our students to train with, and learn from, such a highly-skilled professional and we thank Abby for her generosity.
For those families keen to celebrate the SKiPPS connection and cheer Abby on in the finals series, the Southside Flyers are taking on the Melbourne Boomers in the WNBL semi finals best of 3 series.
The series is kicking off on Wednesday the 8th March at 7.30pm at the State Basketball Centre.
Game 2 is at Parkville Saturday the 11th March at 7.30pm.
Game 3 if required will be back at the State Basketball Centre on Wednesday the 15th.
Tickets for game 1 can be found here www.intix.com.au
