LET'S BE CRE-ART-IVE

Foundation:

The Foundation students have been experimenting with digital tools to draw a bird after listening to the book Cat and Bird which was inspired by the artist Paul Klee. They have also done an amazing job with looking at the art elements of shape and line by creating the solar system and rockets in space for Science Week.

Year 1/2:

The 1/2s put in a lot of effort to create robots for Science Week by using digital media tools and exploring the use and arrangement of different shapes. Some of the students even named their robots and gave a description of their functions.

The Year 1/2s have also been exploring the culture of Japan and the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival of Hanami. They created amazing digital artwork pieces of cherry blossoms at night with a moon in the background.

Year 3/4:

Year 3/4 students have been looking at Ancient Egypt, landscape and the use of cool and warm colours. They have also been using digital drawing tools to create their art pieces.

Year 3/4s have also been looking at the New York street artist Keith Haring and used digital drawing tools to create their motion figures in the Keith Haring style.

Year 5/6:

Senior students focused on the artist Picasso and created Cubism style Picasso faces. Some students used their iPads to draw this using digital drawing tools.
