Knockout Football

On Tuesday 24th August, the LNPS Boys Knockout footballers competed in round 2 of the Statewide Knockout competition at LNPS. We played two games. 

Our first game was against Walkerville PS. We had a very solid game and kicked away in the last quarter. Final score was  LNPS 7.9 51 to Walkerville 2.1 13. Best players were Jasper, Jack T, Emmanuel, Seb and Noah D. 

The second game was against Woodcroft PS who were very strong. We had a great first quarter. However over the next 3 quarters their midfield lifted and they kicked away. Final score LNPS 2.6 18 to Woodcroft 7.3. 45. Best players included Hamish, Noah A, Seth and  Brendan F. 

As we didn’t win both games we were knocked out. Over the two games we played really well. Our tackling and pressure was very good and we played a great team structure. 

We would like to thank Jye C and Mr Grinham for coaching us and Mr Smith for organising everything.

Well done to the kids in U8 Whites for always giving 100% & always being great team players to each other. A big Thank-You to coach Steve for all his hardwork.

"Well done to the U11 team for winning their first round cup match. They played their best match of the season to win 1-0.  Benji was the only scorer, and Ethan played an amazing game. They are now through to the semi finals. Goodluck team!"
