Australian Maths Competition 2021

The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) was held on Wednesday the 4th of August for both Grade 5 and  Grade 6 students. We were so pleased with the large number of entries this year and students having a growth mindset in Mathematics.

An amazing fifty-two students from Grade 5 completed that competition last week which interestingly equates to 65% of our Grade 5 students entering the Australian Maths Competition. Also, another interesting maths fact is that thirty-one students from Grade 6 completed that competition and this equates to 41% of Grade 6 students entering the Australian Maths Competition this year! Congratulations to our wonderful students!

Unfortunately due to the Lockdown on Friday the Grade 3 and 4 students competition had to be postponed until further notice.

The Australian Mathematics Competition is designed to be a fun event to promote Mathematics as well as giving students external recognition of their achievements. We are so proud of the students who have challenged themselves this year in Mathematics!
