A Snapshot of Learning by Level 1

The Great Potato Olympics!

Last week the Grade One students participated in a year level ‘Potato Olympics’ to celebrate the Tokyo Olympics. Each student selected a country to research  and prepared their athlete (potato) for the many sporting events.

The students then competed in a wide range of events with their wonderfully decorated potato. Some sporting events were weight lifting and long jump off the playground slide. The students recorded and tallied up their scores along the way. The Potato Olympics was filled with lots of smiles and laughter and concluded with a medal ceremony.

A big thank you to Ms Philly Tarlinton, Ms Brianna Carratello, Ms Emma Tiberi and Mrs Lauren Freeman for organising and planning engaging activities.
