Year 6 into Year 7 2022 Information Evening 

Kingswood High School would like to invite all prospective students and parents/carers to attend our Information evening for Year 7 2022. This will assist parents/carers to make an informed decision about the choice of high school for their child.

Moving from primary to secondary school can be an exciting and challenging time for young people and their parent/carers. Kingswood High School aims to ensure a smooth transition from primary to secondary school. This Information Evening is the first step in your child's journey into high school

This event will provide you with the opportunity to:

• Meet and talk to the key staff involved with helping your child settle into high school including the Principal, Deputy Principal and the Transition Co-ordinator
• Hear current students talk about their experiences at KHS and the particular opportunities that exist at our school
• Learn about our High Potential and Gifted Program and how it can support students to achieve their personal best
• Tour the school and speak to the Faculty Head Teachers and view displays to gain an insight into what is studied in Year 7 at KHS
• Speak to the wellbeing staff about how KHS meets the needs of all students and how the school supports students with additional learning needs
• Learn about the targeted programs available at the school, such as sports, visual arts, music and STEM
• Hear about our bring your own device (BYOD) program

Due to the Department of Education's COVID-19 restrictions, this event is limited to:

1 Parent/Carer and 

1 Child/student per family.
