Resource Centre News

As students settle into the new year, many are taking advantage of participating in the wide range of games, puzzles and creative activities available at the Resource Centre during recess and lunch breaks. These activities coincide with recreational reading, study and work being done by students in a range of subjects. Tutorials and one to one assistance for students are also taking place in the Resource Centre space at these times.

Another wide range of new books is on display for students to browse and borrow to enjoy reading; they include several book series: the Billie B Mysteries by Sally Rippin, the Rise of the Mythix and Wolf Girl by Anh Do, Edie’s Experiments by Charlotte Barkla, Monty’s Island by Emily Rodda and Super Fairies by Janey Louise Jones. There is also a selection of Eric Braun interactive fairy tale adventures and additional books by Lauren Kate and Louis Sachar.

A new collection of books by a range of Aboriginal authors including:

Cheryl Kickett-Tucker and Jaylon Tucker, Sally Morgan, Darlene Oxenham and Tjalaminu Mia and Jessica Lister feature in a large display of Aboriginal literature which are available for borrowing.

Those students who have not responded to the first reminder to return their overdue books have received another reminder this week. We would appreciate it if students would check their emails for these reminders so that they do not put themselves in the position of having to replace or pay for books that just need returning to the Resource Centre. We appreciate the efforts made by those students who have responded promptly to the initial reminder.
