Monash Division Swimming Champions!

Congratulations to all our swimmers that represented Brentwood at the recent Monash Division Swimming Championships at Kilsyth Memorial Pool. Heading to a new venue, our swimmers were full of both nerves and excitement. After a quick warmup in the pool we were sending our swimmers down to marshal and then compete in event after event after event. We were also placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd and winning a ribbon for our performances in the majority of events. An exceptional effort!

We had younger swimmers filling older age group gaps in our team and these swimmers were very competitive. Thank you! We didn’t fill every relay team (worth double school points) due to late withdrawals. Overall, our swimmer’s made me very proud and they represented Brentwood amazingly.

Brentwood returned to school with 2 shields; we won the junior age group and the Overall Shield! A fantastic achievement!!

Thank you to Ms Chancellor, Mrs Stewart, Ms Kirk, Mrs Sanguinetti, Mrs Weinbergs and Mr Wilson for officiating and looking after our team throughout the day. Without these staff helpers the event would not run and your child/ren would not get the chance to compete and represent Brentwood SC.

All those swimmers who won their events have now qualified to Represent Brentwood and the Monash Division at Eastern Metropolitan Region on Tuesday March 23. The EMR competition will be held at Aquanation. We wish all swimmers the best of luck at this championship.
