'Much Ado About Nothing'

The audition process has been completed and we have begun rehearsals in earnest. Mrs Quick is delighted to have many returning to the production cast in 2021, as well as plenty of new faces. Congratulations to those who have been cast in our leading roles, there was an impressive level of effort and sophistication brought to the auditions.

The junior ensemble have made a strong start to their rehearsals, quickly picking up choreography from Miss Powell who is joining us from Federation University in term 1. We count ourselves lucky to have her expertise on board.

Excitement for our interpretation grows, bringing this classic tale into the contemporary world, without losing the richness of the heightened language.

On the 14th March we had our very first Sunday afternoon rehearsal for 2021, the first in the Robinson Centre for over a year! It felt good to be back.

Here are some of our leading ladies, who by the end of the rehearsal left no doubt in Mrs Quick’s mind that the show is in good hands!

‘Much Ado’ quote of the day: “Let me be that I am and seek not to alter me.”
