GRADE 4V SUSTAINABILITY

Our LPS farm is where the Grade 4 students participate in hands on activities where they learn sustainable strategies that reduces the damage to our environment. They also get a chance to be responsible for the care and well-being of the animals and gardens and to work as a team.

Students have been learning about ways of reducing, reusing and recycling waste products and using gardening tools safely. We have been turning over the soil in the chook pen so our chickens can dig up worms. Each day in the afternoon Grade 4s have been collecting food scraps from each classroom to feed the chickens who are really enjoying leftover lunches! They really missed it during lockdown last year.
