YEAR 10 IMMUNISATIONS

Year 10 immunisation will be taking place on Friday 12 May.

Immunisation cards were distributed to students last week. These cards need to be completed and returned to the school Health Centre by Monday 27 March.

You must return your student’s card to the school, even if you do not wish them to receive the immunisation at this time. 

The Year 10 immunisation will be: Meningococcal ACWY

GAMES ARE BACK!

On Thursday and Friday lunchtimes, two different and unique lunchtime activities are run: 

Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: the Gathering. 

These games draw on imagination, skill, creativity and teamwork as students undertake both narrative storytelling and strategy. These club activities have run for a number of years at McKinnon now and have proven great agents for social interaction, numeracy/literacy and fun!

All are welcome, regardless of previous experience, and both games are a fantastic way to meet fellow students with similar interests. Experienced players can guide those willing to learn more and we have some materials on hand to get everyone started!  At present, we run Dungeons & Dragons on Thursday lunchtimes and Magic: the Gathering on Friday lunchtimes in B01. Students also have the opportunity to play a range of different board and card games too, if they wish.

Donations of old or unwanted materials related to either game are always welcome too!
