Assessment Week Next Week Mon 14 to Fri 18 Nov

Just a reminder that Instrumental Music Assessments are being held next week. 

All students enrolled in Instrumental Music are undertaking an assessment. Assessment times should now appear on Compass. Please ensure you arrive for your Assessment with enough time to warm-up and be ready for your scheduled time. Music Studio 1 will be used for Warm-up and storing your cases during your Assessment.

VSMF Junior Band

Members of the Junior Band have been preparing repertoire and will perform at the Victorian Schools Music Festival at the Hawthorn Arts Centre on Wed 16 Nov. The ensemble will perform to, and watch, other schools of a similar standard and receive feedback and a workshop from a renowned concert band director. 

Parents are able to watch the performance through the Live Stream during the concert time here: https://vsmf.com.au/ 

Uniform is concert blacks - students should bring this to school on the day and get changed after school. Students will take a bus to and from the Hawthorn Arts Centre and must take their instruments and music with them.

Parents, please ensure you have completed Consent for this Event on Compass.

Instrumental Re-Enrolments 2023

It is that time of year again where I ask for enrolment intentions for 2023. I would encourage everyone to continue learning an instrument next year and be involved in the amazing experiences on offer.

Should you have questions or wish to discuss continuing instrumental lessons, there is an Instrumental Music Parent/Teacher/Student Conference on Thursday 3 November. 

Otherwise, please feel free to email your Instrumental teacher or contact the Music Office on 9881 7149.

Please note that NO deposit is payable at this time. 

Payment will appear on your Compass portal at the end of January and payment must be received (or a payment plan commenced) by Friday 17 March.

Please note NEW Year 7 Student Enrolment will commence in Term 1 - please do not return the Expression of Interest form for 2023 Year 7 students.
