JIMMY HARRIS

Check my Principal page picture - its our School Council President-  Jimmy!

Not sure what we would do without Jimmy.

As part of our bushfire preparation we ordered a big skip to remove some of the rubbish from under the buildings, Jimmy led the charge and loaded the huge skip with all sorts of things! Thank you Jimmy!

Landscaping:

You may have noticed our grounds looking really good. Our gardeners have been replacing the mulch with small stones which compact down and are much more fire resistant than mulch.

Chicken care over summer holidays

A note from our chickens of Cluckingham Palace....Thank you! We have had such an eggcellent year at ACPS! We now need human help over the summer holidays....

What we need: 1 or more families to take us to their home (we are happy to relocate, think B&B for chickens!) or we can remain at school in Cluckingham palace and have families rostered on each week to visit.

What we offer: companionship, lots of eggs, cuddles, positive connection to our school (helps 2023 transition back to school), a great way to use your vegetable scraps, cost of all food/straw/mite protection are covered by the school. Check out our cuteness in the attached photos.

Requirements from 'The Ladies': We need a secure home where foxes and other threats can't get to us. Regular food/water provisions (can be left for a couple of days without supervision if good water supply and shade). We don't want to be eaten for Christmas lunch! We may be able to live with other chickens if you think they won't give us a hard a time. Care information sheet is attached if you want to know more.

If you can help, please let Sarah Bailey sarah.bailey2@education.vic.gov.au know by Dec 2 of your preference (take home or feed at school) and date availability (or any queries before you commit). Sarah will then be in contact to discuss details etc with you in the coming weeks.

SWIMMING:

Our grade 5 and 6 students have had a great week swimming. They are all looking forward to surf day next week Grade 5 students on Monday and Grade 6 on Tuesday at Phillip Island.

Prep- grade 4 swimming commences this week. We are all looking forward to lots of water fun!

Nov 30 is our deadline for Christmas Hamper Food Donations - CareNet

Normally on the final day of Term 4 we have a food drive to support families over the Christmas break. Once again, this year we are joining with CareNet to help provide Christmas hampers to families in need within our community. To have these hampers delivered in time for Christmas we are calling for food donations earlier than we have in past years. CareNet have provided us with lists of items needed the most to fill these hampers. Donations can be left at the office up until Wednesday 30 November when CareNet will collect them so they can commence delivery of hampers prior to Christmas.

Thanking you in advance for your support of this worthy cause.

ENROLMENTS:

Enrolments are still welcome for 2023. We are keen to receive enrolment forms as early as possible so we can plan for next year. Thank you so much.
