Year 10 Physics

On Friday 4th November, students of year 10 Physics presented their Posters on various topics of the chapter Matter & Energy. This was an assessment conducted to replace the regular CAT, in according to the new VCE Study Design for year 11 Physics. 

Students presented various topics such as The Big Bang Theory, Particles in the Standard Model, Radioactivity, Nuclear Fusion & Fission, Alpha, Beta & Gamma Radiation, Radioactivity and Electromagnetic Waves. This gave our year 10 students a good insight of Physics Assessments for VCE.

In Unit 2 Area of Study 2, students completed the analysis of acids and bases in water. Through application of volumetric analysis including the use of acid-base titrations, students were able to determine the amount of active ingredient present in an aspirin tablet.
