Recently we welcomed children's author, Nova Weetman to the college.  Nova, who writes middle-grade and young-adult fiction, ran a series of writing workshops for our students in Years 7, 8 & 9. 

Nova shared details of her path to publication and career as a TV writer, as well as some useful tips on how to create compelling characters.  It's always inspiring for students to hear from authors they love, and exciting to throw their own ideas around to create their own compelling stories. 

In other news, our Book Fair with Scholastic last term earned us around $400 worth of new books. Thank you to all the families who supported the fair.  We hope you were able to take home some great reads!
