Captains' Corner
Kathy-Ann Gugroop and Gabriel Loos - College Captains 2023
Hello Everyone, my name is Kathy-Ann Gugroop, and I look forward to leading you as one of your College Captains for 2023. This year has come with its challenges, it, of course, being our first year completely out of Covid lockdown. While the transition from online learning back to face-to-face learning was difficult, it has also been extremely rewarding.
A little bit about me: I am an avid sports person with interests varying from Swimming to Soccer and Tennis. I also enjoy reading; especially about philosophy and history, I play guitar in a band and am hoping to study archaeology in the future. One of my main goals for the coming year as College Captain is to implement more extracurricular activities to give students, who excel in areas outside of what is traditionally expected in school, an opportunity to showcase their skills.
I look forward to working alongside my Co-Captain Gabriel Loos, the Faith and Mission Captains, House Captains, other leaders in our community and of course, all of you to shape our community. I would like to congratulate everyone on their tremendous effort for the year in review and wish everyone luck for the coming year.
Happy Holidays and I look forward to seeing you all back next year!

College Captain 2023
Hi Everyone!
My name is Gabriel Loos and I’ll be your College Captain for 2023 along side my co-captain Kathy-Ann and we would both like to congratulate everyone on their performances and hard work throughout 2022.
A little but about me: I’m a passionate soccer player who has represented both Victoria and Australia in Futsal for both U19 and the men’s team, my House is Columba, the best of them all and of course, I am a passionate student.
The goal for me this year is to create an atmosphere of joy and excitement as well as help students balance between studies, sports and other extra curriculum activities. I believe that every student has the potential to achieve this and with the right guidance can achieve anything and have ‘courage to reach for the stars’.
I’m looking forward to working with all the Captains and making this year memorable and to make an impact on the school that will hopefully last and benefit the students for the years to come.
I would like to congratulate the Faith and Mission Captains and the House Captains on their appointment as Captains I look forward to working with all of you.
Happy Christmas and have a wonderful New Year!
