On Friday 18 November 2022, the Graduating Class of 2022 celebrated the end of their final year of high school with their Year 12 Graduation Mass and Dinner. The evening started off with a wonderful Mass at the amazing St Patrick’s Cathedral – how lucky we are to have such an amazing and awe-inspiring venue for this momentous occasion. Special thanks to John Rhynehart who organised the beautiful service for our students.
The celebration then moved to Zinc at Federation Square, our dinner venue for the evening. Students were presented with their Graduation certificates as part of the formal ceremony, while families, friends and teachers enjoyed a delicious two course meal. At the conclusion of the formal proceedings, the lights were dimmed, and music turned up as everyone enjoyed a celebratory dance… a fun time was had by all!
Congratulations to the winners of the special awards for the evening:
St John’s All Rounder Award – presented to Laura Gardner
Lasallian Award – presented to Charlie Barry
Presentation Award – presented to Jethmi Almeida
Spirit of St John’s Award – presented to Bronson Kingi
I would like to thank a few key people, without whom, the event could not have happened:
Greg Van Es for his ongoing support and guidance.
Shelley Iles for managing so many of the behind-the-scenes details.
Kersten Beus for setting up at the dinner venue, while we enjoyed the Mass.
Tim Hogan for the opportunity to organise such a special event.
And finally, all the staff who attended and made the night so memorable for our students.
Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2022! All the very best for what comes next for you on your journey.
