2023 Sport

Secondary students started sport this week with primary students starting after swim school is finished. We are so lucky to be engaging with our external sport venues such as Central West Gymsports, Golfungym, Orange Aquatic Centre and Orange Ten Pin Bowling. We are also very grateful for the coaches such as Ms Henderson, who come into our school to support our student's sport sessions. 

We have a jam-packed sport schedule for Term 1, 2023. Our whole school swimming carnival will take place on Wednesday 22nd February at Orange Aquatic Centre. Families are welcome to come and cheer along their child/ward and peers. 

Other sporting events for Term 1 are outlined below:

• Friday 10th February – Women’s National Cricket League Match in Orange
• Saturday 4th March – Orange Running Festival – Community Mile
• Tuesday 7th March – Come and Try Athletics Day - Dubbo
• Friday 24th March – Whole School Athletics Carnival
• Wednesday 5th April – Inaugural SSP Interschool Cup hosted by Anson Street School. Schools include: Carenne School, Bathurst; Holman Place, Cowra; and Yawarra, Dubbo as well as us. An exciting tradition to start for our schools to continue for many years to come.

Orange Running Festival

The Orange Running Festival is taking place on 4th and 5th of March at Gosling Creek. New in 2023, the Orange Running Festival has included a community mile event that encourages students and families of all abilities to join in, with an emphasis on fun and participation. We would like to put a team together to participate in this wonderful community event, so if your child is interested please contact the school.
