What's Happening

Travelling to and from school

The front and back transport areas and the campus carpark are very busy at drop-off and pick-up times and we thank you for being patient as we follow our procedures and keep the students safe. All staff wear hi vis vests to alert cars to their presence. Please drive slowly in and out of transport areas and follow staff directions.

Whilst the Anson St carpark gates are open earlier, the entrance doors do not open until 8:45am. If you arrive before this, you can either walk your child to the early birds area via the pedestrian gate and path from 8:30am or you can remain in your vehicle and wait for staff to open the doors to collect your child.

The transport area in Lords Place opens at 8:45am. You can park and walk your child to the pedestrian gate on the shed side or you can remain in your vehicle and wait to drive through.

The campus gate opens at 8:45am and staff will greet students as they walk in from the carpark side.

In the afternoons there can be quite a long line of traffic waiting to enter the gates at all locations. Local school buses drop off and pick up students at the bus stop in front of the school and Assisted School Travel vehicles utilise the front carpark. Please do not park across driveways - this is a traffic offence and you may be fined.

Communication

Our school is changing our communication method to the Sentral for Parents App, to provide parents and carers with targeted news and information relevant to your child/ward. We will no longer be using SeeSaw that many parents and carers have previously used to receive information and pictures about classwork. If you are not already set up, a note will be sent home with your child/ward outlining instructions to help with the set up process.

If you are having any difficulty with this process, we will be offering a help desk either over the phone or in person during the hours of 9 - 9:30 and 2:30 - 3, Monday to Friday next week.

Student Finance

Invoices for 2023 Student fees will be sent home next week with a letter explaining the fees.

The Voluntary Contribution is $50 and Transport Fees are $20 per term/$80 per year.

Sport Fees and Sport Transport are payable each term depending on the Sport chosen.

Payments can be made by cash, EFTPOS (over the counter at the office between 9am – 2pm) or online through the school website using Parent Online Payments (POP).

We are in the process of setting up the Service NSW Back to School Vouchers which can now be used for Excursions.

Student Assistance funds are available for families having difficulties meeting financial requirements related to the education of their children. Applications are available from the office and are confidential.

Anson Transport

We are in the process of establishing a free bus service using one of our school vehicles for students who can't access Assisted School Transport and are having difficulty getting to school in the local area. There will be an application process and the service will run 30 minutes before school and 30 minutes after.

Our staff go above and beyond to help out our school community, so we hope this service is of benefit and people understand that this a courtesy service.

More information will be available soon about this extra service we are providing.
