This term has been a very busy one. Cricket clinics for all classes, Bike Ed for Yr 5/6 and Sports Day!
We also managed to fit in a Yr 3/4 cricket competition. We took our team down to Burnley Oval on what was supposed to be a sunny, summer day, but it felt more like winter with cold rain, hail and wind. The team worked well together and enjoyed competing in their first inter school team event. No results were recorded as the event was run for fun and to get the Yr 3/4 into competitions. Congratulations to the following players who took part in the event; Vihan, Destinho, Cam, Christian, Angus, Austin, Patrick, Troy, Henryk. And a huge thank you to Ellya (Destinho’s mum) for walking with us to and from Burnley oval.
Dr Cranky’s Bike Hospital - we need your help!!!
Dr Cranky’s Bike hospital will be running at 8.15am on Friday mornings for students to pump their tyres and check over their bikes before the lessons start. However we will be finishing up if we can’t find a parent helper. Our current mechanically minded parent Ashleigh Scroggie will be finished with Trinity this year and is moving on, so we are looking for another helper. If you are interested and have some very basic mechanical knowledge please email me.
Thank you to Ashleigh for all your help with this project, without your knowledge and expertise we would not have been able to carry on. Thank you Ashleigh.
FIT CLUB
Fit club has now finished but will be back next year. A huge thank you to the students from St Kevin’s who help us every week and also make a great contribution to our school. They have raised money in their house and have donated some money which we will be putting towards buying 2 new table tennis tables for the school. This is a very exciting gift for the school which I know will be very popular with all our students and we are truly thankful for their generosity.
