Dear Families,
Our week started with a 'Kaboom' on Monday with our special sports day organized by Mrs McLeary and our Senior students. I have included in my news this week, Mrs McLeary's summary of this great event.
Ms Marinelli was also extremely excited by the arrival of the Shared Stories Anthology. These beautiful book now contain the writing of a number of our talented students whose work was chosen for publication. For a full write up, including the written pieces of each child, have a look at our Literacy Page in this week's newsletter.
End of Year School Picnic-Wednesday 14 Dec
To celebrate the end of another wonderful year we have planned a whole school picnic to Jells Park in Wheelers Hill. Family members are invited to join us, however, they will need to make their own way there as our busses will be full. (See directions HERE)
On the day, children will need to wear their school sports uniform, hat and runners. Children will be required to bring their own lunch and snack as well as their water bottles. Ms Antonella will be sending home the notge below and permission form for this excursion as well as further details.
Trinity Sports Day 2022 UPDATE
From Mrs McCleary
PE Teacher
This week saw our students take part in our annual Trinity Sports Day. Well done to all our students for their enthusiasm, wonderful behaviour, personal effort and the team spirit they displayed throughout the day.
Kaboom Sports came in to help facilitate the activities in the morning session. Bringing all their colourful equipment fun, music and enthusiasm.
Each class joined Yr 6 leaders at a station to take part in a different activity and had the chance to win Spirit points for their house. Spirit points were awarded for displaying the School Values;
Community - Excellence - Respect.
In the middle block of the day we ran our annual Sprint Races, where all students had the chance to excel and show their speed. Each group of children from every year level came up to sprint the length of the oval to win a ribbon and points for their house which went towards the Trinity Cup.
The House leaders then took their house to, run some fun games and come up with a house song. Afterwards it was the Yr 6’s chance to compete against the staff in a Tug of War. The students won the first event and were feeling very confident but the teachers weren’t going to fail and won in a best of 3 competition! (with a little help from some parents).
Trinity Spirit Shield
The Spirit Shield this year was won by Montserrat and the Trinity Cup was won by Manresa.
Thank you to the grade 6 leaders who did a fantastic job helping at all of the fun activities and the class teachers for assisting them.

Prayer: A prayer of Gratitude
Lord, I am so grateful for keeping those around me safe and loved. I hope that you provide me with the ability and sense to show them every day how much they matter. I hope that you give me the ability to give to them the same kindness they have provided to me. I am just so grateful for all of your blessings in my life, Lord. I pray that you remind me of just how lucky I am, and that you never allow me to forget to show my gratitude in prayer and returned kind acts. Thank you, Lord.
In your name,
Amen.
Trinty Election Day Bake Sale
Another great success thanks to all our generous parents and a number of very special children who turned up on the day to help out. I have included in our P&F Page an update on the day from Jenny our Parents & Friends President but I wanted to say my own thank you to all those parents who baked, bought and sold at the stall on Saturday. Special thanks to Sue who did so much organizing in the lead up. Sue sent me a lovely email on Saturday evening as she, along with so many members of the Richmond community were so impressed with our students.
I just wanted to send a note to say a very special thank you to the amazing seniors who helped out today. OMG they were impressive!!
They made all of the signs for the sale. They also did an amazing job at connecting with the community. They walked around with placards and introduced themselves to people in the queue and offered to hold their place while the community went over and browsed the bake sale! Not only did we get sales, we got so many people coming over and saying the students were exceptional, and making donations because they were so impressed
There was a stand out moment though. So impressed was one lady with the students she came over while they all held her place and she made a donation of $100.00, and didn't want anything, it was just a donation.
I am so proud of them all, they worked really hard and really well together, such a great reflection of the teachers and school in general. It was a truly beautiful moment. I have never been so proud!
We made a whopping $1477.00 So many amazing baked goods from parents, our school is really special indeed!
So a special thanks goes to the seniors who were absolute rock stars!!! Abi, Oscar, Nicolai, Marina, Lucy, Andrew, Henry, William.
A Christmas Celebration at St Patrick's Cathedral:
