House News-Phoenix 

A Very Warm Welcome to the 2023 School Year from Phoenix House! 

I would like to welcome all new and returning students, staff and families to St John’s. It has been a wonderful and very busy start to the 2023 academic year. Term one is filled with a huge variety of activities and events that will keep all students and staff very busy. 

Some leaders will have high profile roles and others will lead quietly through their actions. Phoenix House is fortunate to have two outstanding student leaders as their House Captains. The 2023 Phoenix House Captains are Hannah Fagan (PH2) and Shanakkian Karan (PH3). We are looking forward to seeing these students develop their leadership qualities throughout 2023. 

Shana Karan

Hello St. John's community, my name is Shana, and I am one of the Phoenix House captains for 2023. I would like to welcome the new Year 7s and the other new students starting at St. John's this year.  

In 2023, I hope that Phoenix House members can come out on top as House Champions. I believe Phoenix is the best house at St John’s. I hope that as a Phoenix House Captain I can make all other students in Phoenix strive to be the best versions of themselves, so that they can take on challenging tasks in the future and have positive outcomes. 

Hannah Fagan

Hello and welcome back all members of the St John’s community. 

My name is Hannah Fagan and I am one of the Phoenix House Captains for 2023.  

I hope everyone had a wonderful summer break and are recharged and ready for the new school year.  

I'm really looking forward to school activities such as the Aquatics Carnival, the House Athletics Carnival and all the events throughout the year where we can all come together have fun and show House spirit.
