Attendance Matters

Punctuality

Being at school on time is really important. School starts at 8.50. Learning starts from this moment. Every minute really does count.

Please look at the attached graphic, which tells you how much time of learning is lost during a school year if a student is just 5 minutes late a day.

Congratulations to Leo from Room 8 who won the Attendance Raffle prize with an attendance of 92% (The Government’s minimum rate is 90%).

Room 9 won the class attendance prize of 99.01% for weeks 1, 2 and 3. Congratulations Room 9!

It is important that you inform the school if your child is going to be absent from school.  This can be done in a number of ways… 

• Filling in the online absence form from the website https://whitegumvalleyps.wa.edu.au/information/online-absent-form/
• Calling the school on 08 9435 6900
• Or seeing/emailing the class teacher direct.
