Junior School News

School Principal's Day

Wednesday 1 May marked School Principal's Day and the students acknowledged our Junior School Principal, Mr Weekes, by writing their response to the statement "Mr Weekes is the best Principal because..."

We plastered his office wall with post -it notes.

Some of Mr Weekes' favourite responses were:

"...he has a good name."

"...he wears cool socks."

"...he tells you nicely to get to class."

"...he is the boss of the children and the teachers."

"...he takes us to sick bay and gives us the office bag."

Thank you for all you do Mr Weekes. You are a wonderful Principal.

Celebrating our Mums

On Wednesday 8 May, the Junior School acknowledged and celebrated with our mums at the Mother’s Breakfast and Liturgy.  It was wonderful to see the children sharing breakfast and togetherness with their mums.

Following the Breakfast, our mums gathered with their children for the Liturgy which included a mother’s blessing and our choir singing a ‘Song for Mary’.  A special mention to Michael Yousseph, Year 4 who sang with Mrs Tweedie as a lead for this song.  This event has become such a lovely tradition and is a true reflection of the community spirit that we have here at the Junior School.
