Next Monday we will be planting 130 native seedlings in the border garden around the vegie beds. This garden will form habitat for native birds, insects and lizards who will help to pollinate our vegies and eat the garden pests, while showcasing plants that naturally grow in Woodend. Each plant species will have an informative label, which together will form an educational, self-guided tour of indigenous Woodend vegetation.

Garden Club kids have already prepared the site and classes CU1, SU1, SU2 and SU3 will be undertaking the planting. Woodend Landcare will be on-hand with tools and equipment, but more adults are needed to help on the planting day. If you are able to join in, please give me a call.
