The Prep/One students have finished their 2D detailed drawings of La Tour Eiffel and these French-inspired pieces will be on display at the upcoming Arts Showcase.

The One/Two students have completed their own version of La Joconde (Mona Lisa), a Leonardo da Vinci inspired artwork, which will also be on display at the Showcase.

This term, both classes have been learning about the colours of l’arc-en-ciel (rainbow) and consolidating their counting skills in French. They have also enjoyed listening to popular French songs including Frère Jacques. In addition, the One/Two students have been learning the months of the year and how to say their birthday’s en français!

The Brolga students have also completed their own version of La Joconde (Mona Lisa), a Leonardo da Vinci inspired artwork, which will be on display at the Showcase.

This term, students have been learning how to introduce themselves en français (name, age, and birthday) and hold a simple conversation using greetings and manners. They have continued to develop their counting skills.

The students are also being exposed to La Francophonie (French-speaking countries) and will undertake a mini research assignment on a country of their choice in the upcoming lessons. They have begun to plan their travel brochures and create their passports as part of this task.
