SRC visit for Remembrance Day

On Thursday 8th November, the SRC students represented Concord School at the Montmorency RSL for a Remembrance Day event. We are very proud to be able to send out students to these events in our community. They did a wonderful job representing our school. Well done to the SRC members and staff from across the school who attended the event. All students received a commemorative medal.

Heating and Melting Gala

Kylie has been on holidays but SAS have been lucky enough to have Ali (CRT) in the room for most of the time. They got up to some fun activities over the week, such as:

  • Making Halloween crafts and jack lantern silhouettes. Sam did a great job of a drawing a zombie.
  • In literacy Jordan wrote a very funny alliteration poem: Jaunty Jordan Juggling Jars of Jam. Students have worked well to publish at least one final piece of writing.
  • Ali ran a kindness circle where the students took turns to say something nice about another person in their class. Luca is so good at expressing himself and saying nice things about other people.

 Literacy & Numeracy Updates

Teachers have been very busy with their assessments in these areas. We are very impressed with how the students have been going in their assessments. The SLP’s will be handed out at the end of the year. Here are some work samples of what some students have been doing in class.
