Spotlight on SMC tutors

Rebeka is our wonderful and extremely talented vocal tutor.  She and her family moved from Slovenia (Ljubljana) early last year to Tasmania.  Rebeka is a professional singer and flautist with more than 20 years of experience.  She has performed all round the world and has many of her students studying in European Academies. 

Rebeka sings all musical genres and says that 'music is fun and is an exceptional outlet for creative expression.'

Behind the masks

Year 9 Drama students have recently been exploring the world of mask in theatre. We have looked at traditional Commedia Dell’Arte masks, Basel masks and contemporary full-face character masks. Students have enjoyed experimenting with character with a focus on non-verbal physicalisation.

Celebrating with music

Music students recently performed at the International Women’s Day breakfast.  Many people were singing along to the band and a fun time was had by all.  Thank you to Cecilia Hutchinson (vocal), Estella Edwards (guitar), Ava Thomsett (bass) and Maya Manaena (drums).
