World Mental Health Day

October 10th was World Mental Health Day. It is an international day for global Mental Health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma surrounding mental health. It was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, a global mental health organization with members and contacts in more than 150 countries.

To celebrate Mental Health Awareness, students were provided with the opportunity during extended home group to explore what Mental Health means and the strategies they can use to enhance their mental health.

The hilarious animated film Inside Outwas screened during lunch time on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th of October at the library. The movie explores the impact of emotions, motivation, and stress on an individual from the perspective of animated characters. We had positive feedback from students who attended.
