"Be The Best That You Can Be" - Celebrating Student Wellbeing and

Growth in Learning

Vocational Education & Training (VET) News

The College has received approximately 70 Vocational Education & Training (VET) student expressions of interest this term which is a significant increase from last year’s numbers.  It is very pleasing to see that many WHSC students have chosen this study option as part of their VCE studies.

Overall the VET Cluster Groups – Mullum and IMVC VET Cluster, have also reported a huge jump in applications with Mullum advising that they have over 960 VET applications to process.

VET studies provide workplace skills, technical knowledge and qualifications to rewarding jobs and careers.  VET is a practical education option with courses designed by industry experts that combine work-ready skills with the latest knowledge.

There are many man hours that go into processing VET applications and VET providers and myself are working extremely hard to make sure that students can be offered a place in their chosen VET program.  When VET places can be confirmed by the VET provider I will advise students.

VTAC Key Dates/Course Counselling during Change of Preference period

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the Year 12s the very best with their upcoming exams.  It has been a pleasure helping you this year and learning about your future dreams!

I would like to remind students and families of the following important 2022/2023 VTAC calendar dates:

  • ATAR and VCE results released7am, Monday 12th December. Register to access results: www.resultsandatar.vic.edu.au
  • Change of preference deadline for December round offers4pm, Wednesday 14th December (students can book a course counselling appointment with me by sending me a TEAMS prior or on the following days – Monday 12th Oct, Tuesday 13th Oct & Wednesday 14th October
  • December round offers released (domestic & international students)Wednesday 21st December
  • January 2023 offers releasedFriday 13th January
