Career Highlight: Noelle Carzino (CLC, 2009)
In terms of my career, after a successful 10 years as an Interior Design Consultant, eventually managing a Design Studio in Malvern, I decided to embark on a new career this year and became a Swimming Instructor. I was always taking part in the interschool swimming team during my time at high school. Teaching children was also always something I had wanted to do some day. When I finished at CLC and achieved an ENTER of 89.05 I went to Uni. I first had intended to be a teacher, having first started a Bachelor of Arts at Melbourne university to then defer to a Bachelor of Primary teaching at La Trobe, it didn't feel like the right time for me to embark on teaching at that point in my life.
I decided to then pursue my love for interior designing and creativity and completed a Cert IV in Interior Decoration and Design at Melbourne Polytechnic. I then pursued a career in Design, focusing on bathroom design, with a focus on bathroom ceramics. I had always dreamt on managing a studio someday which eventually came true. Becoming a Studio Manager at the Design Studio for Beaumont. After many years working at Design Showrooms in Richmond and Balwyn, this was the next progression.
However, I have always been someone who enjoys change and the need to evolve and grow. Which is where I decided to enter back into a field of teaching, combining my earlier experiences in swimming and ensuring I had an active job in the community, I decided to join Yarra Swim School in Greensborough. I absolutely love my job now and look forward to my work every single day.
I still live locally in Briar Hill, and will forever love my neighbourhood and the area I was brought up in.
