CLC Celebrates 120 Years: Alumnae High Tea

It is hard to believe that 120 years ago, a group of strong women opened Catholic Ladies College on a site in East Melbourne (which is now the Park Hyatt) to a handful of students. Many students, parents and staff have walked the halls of both our East Melbourne and Eltham campus' and it was lovely to welcome some back to celebrate this milestone. We shared a lovely afternoon reminiscing and reconnecting in our Una McAllister Centre. Thank you to all who attended.

Cooking with Mrs Maynes Series: Hazelnut Strawberry Gateau

We love our cooking with Mrs Maynes series, and it looks like our Alumnae do too.  We were very excited to welcome back the following students (and parents):

Annaliese McDonald (CLC, 2012), Elise Cowdry (CLC, 2012), Kimberley Blackwood (CLC, 2009), Celia Blackwood (Past CLC Parent), Emily Rawle (CLC, 2015), Amber Ryder (CLC, 2015), Jaslin Hood (CLC, 1997) and Tarin Moloney (CLC, 1999).

CLC Remembrance Mass

The CLC remembrance mass has been a part of our community for since the early 1900’s and it continues to be a special part of the CLC community calendar.  It was lovely to have past students, teachers and Sisters of Charity honoured in a beautiful mass. Our thanks to Fr Terry Kean.

Back to CLC Twilight Tour

What a night! It was wonderful to have so many Alumnae join us for our inaugural ‘Back to CLC’ evening. Hearing the chatter of memories and laughter as we toured the campus was lovely. We also had a visit from Elly Keating, our Future Careers Leader, who spoke about how Alumnae can get involved in our Careers program and Anne Maynes who came to say hello.

CLC Celebrates 120 Years: Past and Present Staff Drinks

The past and present staff of CLC came together to celebrate 120 years of CLC. It was wonderful to see so many attend the event.

CLC Christmas Market and Carols

The weather was perfect this year, we were glad to go ahead with this year's Christmas market and carols.  We had over 60 market and food stalls, some of which were run by our Alumnae, current and future students.  It was so wonderful to host an event that brought the community together.
