Performing Arts & Music at BPPS

Welcome back for Term 2!

Below are a few reminders for Performing Arts in Term 2 and hopefully give a clearer picture of how the term will look.

1) All Performing Arts lessons will be uploaded on Monday morning ready for completion during the week. Students are expected to complete the task by the end of the week (Sunday).

2) The Performing Arts Question Time will be held from 2:00-3:30pm for each cohort on the following days:

 - Monday: Grade 5/6

- Tuesday: Grade 1/2

- Wednesday: Foundation

- Thursday: Grade 3/4

Students are welcome to send Miss Poor questions about the weekly tasks during this time.

3) Communication between parents and teachers is to be through Sentral Messaging. and communication between the students and teachers will be via Seesaw (Foundation to Year 2s) or Showbie (Year 3 – 6s).

Seesaw - Foundation-Grade 2

Students will need to have the Seesaw CLASS app or access to the Seesaw website (https://web.seesaw.me/) on the device they are using to complete all work. Students are to log in with the code they were provided by their classroom teacher (Year 1/2s) or myself (Foundation) at the end of last term. Once logged in as a student, your child can access all their specialist classes by clicking on their name at the top left-hand corner of the screen and then select the relevant specialist class. Please contact either your child’s classroom teacher or me if you have misplaced the code that was emailed at the end of last term.

Parents can monitor the work their children complete via the Seesaw FAMILY App or on the website by selecting ‘I’m a Family Member’. Parents were sent an email on Friday 20 March reminding them of how to join. Please don’t confuse the Seesaw FAMILY app with the student Seesaw CLASS app when completing and submitting their work.

Showbie - Grade 3-6

All students in Years 3 – 6 have the Showbie App on their iPad. When they open the app, they will be able to find each of their Specialist classes. Each Specialist lesson will appear either on the main page of the Specialist class or in a sub-folder.  If you child is missing the Performing Arts class, please contact me and I will provide you with the code.

Parents in Years 3 and 4 were invited by the classroom teachers to create a parent account to monitor their child’s work.

At this stage, parents of students in Years 5 and 6 will need to look at their child’s app to monitor their tasks.
