Let's talk attendance

Coming to school on time is important!
It is very important for children to develop habits of arriving on time at an early age, beginning from the time they start school. Arriving on time makes sure that your child is set up for success throughout the day. It ensures that your child doesn't miss out on the important learning activities that happen early in the day such as literacy activities where students learn to read in small groups. Classes participate in a morning circle where students hear what's happening during the day to allow them to be prepared and successful. Students may be told about changes to normal routines.
If your child is late to school, please go to the office to sign them in as attendance rolls in class are marked at 9am and submitted straight away. The office staff will give your child a paper slip indicating they have been marked present for the day. This slip of paper should be given to your child's class teacher on arrival.
