Welcome Back!
Welcome back to school for 2019 everyone! I mentioned at assembly last week, that a new year starts afresh with new classmates, new teachers and new goals.
I would especially like to welcome our new families to St Mary's. I hope your time with us is a joyous one filled with great memories.

FREE Welcome BBQ
Our 2019 Welcome BBQ is taking place next Wednesday 13th February beginning at 6pm. We look forward to seeing you all there to catch up and welcome our new families to St Mary's. Drinks will be available to purchase on the night, $1 each.
Prep Welcome
All Prep families are invited to attend a special welcome liturgy in the Marian Centre prior to the Welcome BBQ. This will begin at 5:30pm.
Opening Mass
Our Opening Mass for 2019 is taking place on Friday 15th February at 9:30am. Our new Preps and their buddies play a special role in the mass and all family members are welcome to join us.
Andrew Chinn Concert
Visiting performer Andrew Chinn will be doing workshops with all the grades this Friday 8th February. The day will culminate with a whole school concert starting at 2:15pm. Families are welcome to come along and watch!
School Board & Lollies
Just a reminder about our new rule for this year that we no longer share lollies or icy poles for students birthdays. Thank you for your understanding regarding this.
Gr 6 Leadership Day
St Mary's is once again hosting the Gr 6 students from around the Goulburn Valley at our Leadership Day next Wednesday. There is a great program planned with Bianca Chatfield (ex Australian Netball Captain), Fr Rob Galea and Fablice Manirakiza (Rapper) all presenting.
Go Mr Preston!
Congratulations Mr Preston who has been nominated for the Cricket Victoria Schools Ambassador of the Year award and the Cricket Australia Ambassador of the Year award!! He is attending the awards ceremony this Sunday at the MCG. Good luck Josh!!
Principal's Award
Winner Week 1 Josh Ulrich. Josh is a very responsible student who is an excellent listener. He is a calming influence in the classroom and always shares his great sense of humour at appropriate times. Well done Josh!
