From the Wellbeing Officer

From the wellbeing officer...

Welcome to 2019!  It is hard to believe that we are halfway through Term One already!  The year has got off to a good start and I have enjoyed reconnecting with the students and marvelling at how much they appear to have grown over the Christmas school holidays, and meeting some of the students who are new to Weeden Heights this year.  I trust that our new families feel welcome and are enjoying being part of the Weeden Heights school community.

Over the coming weeks I am planning to get the “Caring Casseroles” program up and running again for this year, so if you would like to be involved, please contact the school office or email me at traceym@suvic.org.au.

I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to the wonderful parents who provided casseroles for our school community last year; your generosity was greatly appreciated by the recipients of your casseroles and by the WHPS staff 😊

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the “Caring Casseroles” program, “Caring Casseroles” is a program where families have volunteered to make a meal on a rotating roster as a need arises.  An email will be sent out with a request for a meal to be dropped off during the week.

I have a list of families who volunteered last year, so if you would like to continue this year, there is no need to contact me.  If you are interested in being involved, please provide me with your name, contact number, your child’s name, and your email address.  Thank you!

If there is anything I can help you with or you would like to simply have a chat, please do not hesitate to contact me at the school or by email at traceym@suvic.org.au.  I am at school on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

I’m looking forward to a great 2019!
