Important information for Year 12 students applying for teaching and education degrees in 2018

Students applying for teaching and education degrees for 2018 need to be aware of an extra requirement, the CASPer test, which has been introduced by all universities. The information required is shown in all relevant courses in Coursesearch on VTAC. I have attached a fact sheet to a news feed item on Compass which is also available on the VTAC website, or at http://vtac.edu.au/files/pdf/publications/CASPer.pdf.  Please note that ACU has a no-cost alternative, and some universities may offer to re-imburse students upon enrollment. 

Further to the CASPer test, students will need to achieve a minimum ATAR of 65. Students who have experienced some form of disadvantage are encouraged to make a SEAS application prior to October 10th, 5.00pm. Details can be found on the VTAC website and within students' VTAC account. There are also alternative pathways into teaching which students may need to consider for next year, or may choose to access at a later stage in their education.
