CURRICULUM NEWS

As always term 4 is a busy term with all students completing their year of studies and choosing subjects for next year.

All year levels will be completing tests or exams at some point this term so it’s important we start to think about these and prepare ourselves.

First up, our current Year 12 students will be starting their VCE exams on the 30th October with English. This exam commences at 9.15am and all students sitting this exam should meet in the Study Centre at 8.45am.

I will be placing the VCE exam schedule up in the Study Centre, it will have all the exams and times of exams, please remember to arrive promptly for each exam and meet in the Study Centre. I have also included the protocols for these exams in this newsletter.

I am currently working on publishing the Year 9-11 Exam Timetables over the coming weeks and first up is the Year 9 exam timetable. Students will complete their exams in class time this semester rather than only attending school on days they have exams. There is a schedule in this edition of the newsletter and it will also be posted onto COMPASS.

The Exam Schedule for other year levels will be posted on COMPASS over the coming weeks.

Planning is underway for the Year 9 Experience Program which will run in week 7 this term. This year, we are working on a variety of new projects that students will be completing which will include, spending 2 days at the Banyule Nillumbik Tech School where we will carry out our design challenge to design animated mechanical toy sculptures called automata representing something from nature that future generations may never be able to see. More information will be provided shortly.

Finally, good luck to our Year 12 students over the coming weeks with all their exams.
