Library

Beyond the subject support:
Libraries provide a range of opportunities beyond individual or class reading and research which are often unexpected and unplanned. Such events may occur on days of inclement weather, such as Tuesday this week when we had glorious and much needed rain falling for most of the day. The types of usage included individual tutoring with a number of our teaching staff offering support to individuals and groups, as well as small groups of friends enjoying quiet time together, and individuals choosing to seek a space for some solitude. You can see more here!
Academic assistance, which takes place every afternoon from 3.45 until 5.45pm (except Fridays), is also very popular at this time of the year (see main image). Most nights a number of teachers call through and sometimes all seats are full! This is just a small snapshot of what we offer. More detail can be found here.
Don’t forget our competition which closes on the 11th May. We are asking for photographs that show us where you read.
Year 5 and the Frankencrayon Monster:
This week in our Library lesson we performed a play. You can see what we did and read why we did it on our blog.
Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge:
Nearly all students are enrolled now, but the paperwork is still coming through with usernames and passwords. In the interim, please keep a record of any books read to be added once those details are provided.
