COVID-19 Information
A few reminders about the COVID -19 situation
Student Illness – Covid-19 Testing
In accordance with advice from NSW Health, parents and carers are reminded NOT to send children to school if they are unwell, even if they have the mildest flu-like symptoms. Schools will make arrangements for students who present as unwell or have flu-like symptoms to be sent home. Students and staff with flu-like symptoms that have been absent from school for this reason, or sent home will need to provide a copy of a negative COVID-19 test result before being permitted to return to school.
Parents are required to screenshot the negative test result and message it to the school or email it to the school on bathurst-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au prior to the students return. It is vitally important this information is given to the front office and not sent to staff mobiles or email addresses please. Alternatively, parents can print off the negative result and send it in with the student.
Students should not return to school until the school has been provided with the negative test result and are clear of symptoms.
I appreciate the angst and difficulty this may cause families and would ask for your continued support if you are contacted by our office.
Health and Safety of our entire school community
Please remain vigilant when visiting our school site. A friendly reminder if you are required to attend the front office for an essential purpose, an External Visitors Declaration will need to be completed and visitors must also sign in.
We thank everyone for your co-operation at drop-off and pick-up times. Parents remain unable to come on to the school grounds and are reminded to maintain the 1.5 metre social distancing rule between each other during drop off and pick up times.
