End of Term 3

As Term 3 comes to an end on Friday next week, we would like to thank you for your co-operation this term. We are missing having our usual events including assemblies, Grandparents' Day, sporting events and other celebrations where we welcome families into the College.

During this time where we are physically separated from our families, we can’t stress enough that should you have any concerns regarding your children, either academically or socially, please reach out to us via phone or email. Don't wait until an issue becomes serious. Our staff are here to serve you and your children.

We hope you may have some opportunity to spend some family time over these next school holidays. We know that our God is greater than COVID-19 and all the challenges it brings, we pray that this might bring you peace.

Goodbye Year 12

Our Year 12 students will finish their day to day schooling on Thursday next week. For some this is after being at TCC for 13 years.

This has been a very unusual and unsettling time for the Graduating Class of 2020. As they make decisions about their careers and life after school they have the added uncertainty of the changes due to the ongoing presence of COVID-19.

As they leave for their study break before their HSC exams we ask you to join us in praying for them as they prepare. Pray for peace and good health during this demanding and significant time in their lives.

Notification of College Departures

A reminder for families whose children will not be returning to TCC in 2021, as per the signed ‘Terms and Conditions’ we require a full term’s written notice for departures.

If your child is not returning for 2021, the College must be notified before the end of    Term 3 (next Friday 25th September) or you will be asked to pay fees in lieu of the correct notice. Please contact our Enrolments Manager, Rachael Birkefeld even if you are only thinking about a change of schools please come and speak with us.

I'm entering into the world's tightest hat competition....I hope I can pull it off !

Now I have your attention, this is a friendly reminder that you MUST have a College hat to be out in the sun. Whether that is playing or sitting, both during break times, sport days or in PE.

Not so fun fact, when UV radiation from the sun is above a rating of 3 we need sun protection to stop harmful damage to our skin and eyes. On Monday at lunch the UV rating was 7. This number will only continue to increase as we head towards summer. This really highlights the importance for protection in the season to come! Sunscreen, hats, seeking shade, and sunglasses can all be effective methods to reduce UV exposure. However, hats are the compulsory part here at TCC. Sun protection... always a hot topic.

Mr. Dawson posted this message on SchoolBox for students. Both Mr Storrie and Mr Green have been reinforcing this message. Please assist your children by reminding them to have their College hat each day.

Social Media and Online Safety

Last week we emailed families with a warning from the eSafety Commissioner regarding a concerning video circulating social media platforms.

The Office of the eSafety Commissioner has a range of resources for  Parents and information about staying safe online during COVID-19. We encourage you to take the time to utilise these resources to support you when dealing with these situations.

Cows Create Careers

Our Agriculture students have been very creative while making commercials for the 2020 MaxCare Cows Create Careers Initiative. Below are a few snapshots from their creations.
