This past few weeks J24 has been learning about materials, their properties and how they can change when air & heat is applied to them. The students participated in a slime investigation to observe the properties of this substance.

In Reading, J24 has done some amazing work around visualising as they read. They learned how adjectives and the use of figurative language helps us to create mental images in our head which we shared through drawings. J24 students have been highlighting which words helped them visualise their image.
J24 has also participated in some Challenging Math tasks as a way to engage students in learning how to problem solve using different strategies. This week, we had a go at a TIME problem-solving task where students had to find one of the possible solutions to the problem. They are showing great enthusiasm and persistence with each challenge.
