In our classroom:

 

In Prep, we have finished our unit on skipping. We have been working through different activities and rotations to improve our jumping, leaping and skipping skills. Students have been practicing skipping individually, partner skipping and long rope skipping. 

We have started a new unit this week, working on new skills associated with Athletics. We have begun to work on and practice our running and relay skills (running, skipping, hopping on one-foot relays). 

Our prep students have continued learning and playing various minor warm up game’s such as ‘Fruit salad’ and ‘China wall’. 

 

 

 

Our grade one and two students have finished their unit on skipping. Students have been practicing skipping individually, partner skipping and long rope skipping. They have started a new unit this week, working on new skills associated with Athletics. We have begun learning how to jump over hurdles. Students have continued learning new warm up games such as ’Level up’ and ‘China wall’. 

 

 

 

Our grade three, four, five and six students have finished their unit on skipping. Students have been practicing skipping individually, partner skipping, learning different skipping tricks, and long rope skipping. 

They have started a new unit this week focusing on improving their fitness skills. Students completed a shuttle run, a continuous 5 minute warm up and a mini circuit, including: burpees, squat jumps, star jumps, step ups and square jumps.
