Year 10 Information Handbook
The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) are the government authority who facilitate the development and implementation of the curriculum from Kindy to Year 12. Each year they release a handbook for Year 10 students and parents with information relevant to Year 11 and 12 studies. The 2021 Year 10 Information Handbook can be accessed at this link.
I would encourage Year 10 students and their parents to read the handbook as it provides valuable information in conjunction with the Year 10 Pathways Planning Program taught at John XXIII College. This information will also be elaborated on at the Year 10 Parent Information Evening to be held later this term in preparation for 2022 Year 11 course selection early in Term 3.

Years 7-12 Remote Learning
Given recent events within our State it is timely to remind our students and parents of the College’s protocols should the need arise for us to return to remote learning. Whilst our Year 12 students are familiar with the processes given the situation in early February, it is important that all of our Year 7-11 students and parents are aware of the College’s processes for remote learning.
Both the student and parent guidelines are available in the SEQTA Documents tab. Please ensure you have updated the options selected to ensure the correct year group is ticked in the options tab of the Documents screen as per the screenshot.

Loreto House Day
On Thursday we celebrated Loreto day. The day started off with our year sevens spreading the love by bringing treats and sharing with the rest of the year sevens. We then had our assembly where Madison Gunasekera was presented with the 2021 Loreto service award, well deserved for giving her all to Loreto House. Felix Frichot and Isabella Van Helden were the winners of our credit draw. The Loreto talent was in full force in our variety show
The day finished with us doing what we do best, being men and women for others. Lead by Ms Toleman, twenty-four Loreto students prepared meals for Shopfront.
It is so great to be part of a great family.
