Around The Primary

Dear Parents,

Thinking of all our Mums, Grandmothers and significant others on Mother’s Day this Sunday and sending you our very best wishes! May your special day be filled with all that makes you smile and feel grateful.

Special thanks to all who came along to our Mother’s Day celebrations this morning. It was great to see so many members of our school community coming together for Mass and then enjoying the opportunity to have a coffee/tea and a chat with each other.

A big thank you to Miss Nish, Mrs Edwards, Mrs Murphy, Mrs K, Mrs Brodie, Miss Allen, Mrs Haydon, Mrs Lumley and Fr Rodrigo for preparing the Mass and our Year 2 students for leading our beautiful liturgy.

Our appreciation is extended to all the staff who helped to set up the Gym and Exhibition Centre.

We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Kind regards,

Antoinette De Pinto

We hope you enjoy this delightful clip!

NAPLAN 2021

We are currently preparing for The National Assessment Program in Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) which will take place in May. Students in Year 3, 5, 7 and 9 will be assessed in the areas of Writing, Reading, Conventions of Language and Numeracy.

Assessments are a normal part of the teaching and learning cycle so there is no need for students to feel under added pressure during NAPLAN. Year 3 and 5 classroom teachers will spend time with students teaching them how to navigate the screen when using the Online assessment platform.

We encourage students to approach the assessments with a positive mindset and to try their best.

Sports Update

Well done to the Year 5 & 6 students who braved the wet conditions on Thursday afternoon in their first interschool AFL, Hockey, Netball and Soccer matches against Loreto Nedlands.

Congratulations to Hudson Grabham who won a silver medal in the 800m at the WA Little Athletics State Championships.  Well done Hudson!

If your child has had a sporting achievement outside of school we would love to celebrate it.  If it is at a state or national level it will be included in the school newsletter, all other achievements will be displayed, with a picture if possible, on the sports display board near the Year 6 classrooms.
