Looking after our planet...

Garden Club

In week 3 and 4 we had our lovely Grade 3/4 and Grade 2's visit the Level 1 garden. There is a bit of work resifting our soil before we plant. Our students didn't waste any time and got their hands straight into the soil. Many worms were found as the soil was mixed through.

During a Grade 2 in visit, each class received a new tree sapling to plant. This ties in wonderfully with our link to Restore our Earth, providing new life to our precious trees. Grade 2 students learnt to dig a hole deep enough to place saplings safe into the ground to grow healthily.

Next week it is the Grade 1's turn to join Garden Club at Wednesday lunchtime.

Donations for Garden Club:

We are currently in the process of fundraising money to put toward our Garden club. Currently we are working with what we have which is limited resources. We kindly ask for any donations big or small that can make our Garden Club thrive in the meantime.

Oral health used products: bring to school to recycle

We can earn fundraising points towards gaining Garden Club items for every used oral health product recycled. See below what can be recycled. There will be a box at the office to place these items.

Sustainability Hero of the week

The passionate Chloe M in 3/4C has made a very informative short film to persuade her classmates to take action toward Climate Change. We love seeing our students show passion in wanting to make a change. Thanks for sharing Chloe!
